How to Delete Your Data

You can request deletion of your QuickStave account and all associated data at any time using any of the following methods:

Option 1: In-App Account Deletion

  1. Sign in to QuickStave at quickstave.app
  2. Click your avatar in the top-right corner
  3. Select "Edit Profile"
  4. Click "Delete Account" at the bottom of the panel
  5. Confirm the deletion in the dialog

Option 2: Email Request

Send an email to [email protected] from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Delete my account". We will process your request within 7 business days.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we immediately and permanently remove:

  • Your user profile (email, display name, avatar)
  • All scores and their storage objects (notation data, thumbnails)
  • All share links you created
  • Your linked OAuth accounts (Google, Facebook)
  • Your subscription and billing reference (Stripe customer link)

What Is Not Affected

  • Scores stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB) are not affected — they remain on your device.
  • Clones of your public/unlisted scores that other users made before deletion are not removed (they are independent copies).
  • Anonymised, aggregated analytics data is retained.

Timeline

Account deletion is immediate. When you confirm deletion, your data is permanently and irreversibly removed from our systems straight away.

Facebook / Meta Users

If you signed up using Facebook Login, you can also initiate data deletion from your Facebook App Settings. Remove "QuickStave" from your connected apps, and we will receive a deletion request callback and process it automatically.
