Adding and managing instruments
Ctrl+I opens the Instruments panel to add instruments by name or from a ready-made ensemble preset, remove them, and drag to reorder how parts stack.
Guitar tablature
TAB is a view of the same notes, not separate data — one part, two synced staves, with a Tab Display toggle controlling which staff or staves actually show.
Percussion and drum kit notation
Picking a percussion preset from the instrument list sets everything — staff lines, clef, and a notehead-per-pad map — with no separate percussion-staff toggle.
Playing the virtual piano
Play any QuickStave instrument from your computer keyboard, a touchscreen or a MIDI keyboard — up to four at once, linked to sound together from one key.
